Mapping Project
Trading Post
February 14,2019
Trading Post is an online collection of maps, videos, and other media wherein objects tell their stories and a community maps itself onto the city. Physical trading posts mark these locations and link them to our mapped reality.

This work examines how the affective and value based economy of trading, manifested in the funz Facebook group, maps itself onto physical and social space. Documented through video recordings, each trade represents a happening and a manifestation of space, mapped in both the physical and digital realms.

Trading Post was created for the Site-Specific Research Creation & Mapping Project in COMS 374 Intermedia II at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. This work was exhibited in a class gallery setting on February 14th.
